As a Fashion Designer based in Moratuwa, you will be responsible for creating original and innovative designs for clothing, accessories, or footwear. You will work on design concepts, patterns, and sketches that align with current trends while reflecting the brand's identity. This role involves both creativity and technical skills, along with a strong understanding of fashion trends, fabric selection, and garment construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze current fashion trends to create relevant designs.
• Develop design concepts and sketches for clothing lines or accessories.
• Collaborate with fabric suppliers and manufacturers to select appropriate materials.
• Oversee the production process, ensuring designs are executed as intended.
• Create mood boards, sketches, and patterns for collections.
• Work closely with tailors, pattern makers, and production teams to bring designs to life.
• Attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and events to stay updated on industry trends.
• Participate in fitting sessions and make necessary adjustments to designs.
• Manage the entire design process from concept to final production, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Communicate with clients or retailers to understand their needs and preferences.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Fashion Designer or in a similar role.
• Strong artistic and creative abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD programs.
• Good understanding of textiles, garment construction, and fabric types.
• Ability to forecast trends and incorporate them into designs.
• Excellent sketching, drawing, and pattern-making skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with various teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Education and Experience:

• A degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in fashion design or a related role.
