The Sales Executive at a distribution center in Galle will be responsible for driving sales growth by managing relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the smooth distribution of products. The role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills to meet sales targets and support the center’s overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and distributors.
- Identify and secure new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Manage product distribution to clients and ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and action plans to meet sales targets.
- Collaborate with the internal team to ensure product availability and resolve any delivery issues.
- Handle customer queries, provide product information, and recommend suitable solutions.
- Attend sales meetings, training, and networking events to stay informed about the latest industry developments.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of the distribution and supply chain process is a plus.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in sales, preferably in distribution or FMCG.
- Valid driving license is required for travel within the assigned territory.
